Multimodal transport

Multimodal transport means delivery by several modes of transport, handled by a single provider under one contract: by road, rail, sea and river, with temporary storage at terminals.

We work with every mode of transport except air. Costs stay low thanks to partnership agreements with transport terminals across Russia, and smooth coordination at every stage saves time.

What we take care of for you

Why this is indispensable in Russia

A dense railway network exists only in the central part of the country and as far as the Urals; further east the main line runs along the southern regions. To reach deeper inland, road, sea or river transport is needed. Cargo can be sent to the northern Arctic areas only along the Northern Sea Route — for about 3.5 months a year (August to October), or 6–8 months with icebreaker escort.

Examples of routes are given on the pages “Sea freight” and “Train schedule”.
